Dri-Sil's Condensation Channel

A glazing strip is fitted along the bottom edge of the pane and conveys condensation running down the inside of the glass to the exterior. It also reduces the amount of condensation by providing trickle ventilation.Apart from substantially increasing the life of the frame by reducing the risk of rot, other advantages of using Dri-Sil strip include:

  • Elimination of the problem of pending of condensation on the window board, with possible damage to the sill and plasterwork
  • The elimination of damage to wall decoration, skirting and carpets by condensation running off the window board.

  • The replacement of the bottom putty, or the bead by the channel, protects the outside of the window from the elements.Dri-Sil channels are suitable for use on all timber and most metal fixed lights and opening sashes, including shop and office windows. It can be fitted to windows with all normal thickness of glass including double glazing and can be used on new or existing windows.Twenty two different channels are available to suit all rebates and glazing requirements.
  • Dri-Sil channel is formed from extruded aluminium and manufactured in accordance with B.S. 5750. It is available in polyester powder coated brown or white aluminium. It is supplied in 3 metre lengths.No maintenance is required apart from an occasional cleaning to preserve the appearance and to ensure that the drainage slots are clear.
